Continental Q1 operating earnings fall 9% on currency effects BERLIN -- German supplier Continental AG said adjusted earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) in the first quarter declined 9 percent to 1.06 billion euros ($1.28 billion) from 1.16 billion a year earlier as currency headwinds dented profit. Revenue grew 0.1 percent to 11.10 billion euros ($13.29 billion).
